Half of the beloved comedy team Stiller & Meara, has passed away. Anne Meara, mother to Ben Stiller, was 85 years old. She and Jerry have had a long career together and separately, and have been married for 61 years. Anne was a nice Catholic girl who married a Jewish comic and later converted toJudism.
Meara went on to a long career on the game show circuit and then landed a role on TV’s “Rhoda” series. She went on to play hundreds of roles, especially notable on “The Love Boat,” “ALF,” “Sex and the City” and “King of Queens.”
She is survived by husband Jerry, son Ben, daughter Amy, grandchildren and family.
