It’s time to bless the new theater season and producer Pat Addiss and Kathryn Fisher have scheduled what promises to be a rousing Broadway Blessing to kick off the 2019/2020 season at St. Malachy’s on Monday September 16 at 7 pm. The Actor’s Chapel located at 239 W. 49th Street will include a special tribute to Hal Prince by Chita Rivera, along with performances by Broadway and Off-Broadway performers from Ain’t Too Proud, Fiddler on the Roof, Phantom of the Opera, Lion King, Desperate Measures and Hair.

The Broadway Blessing Choir and musicians, will perform under the direction of Stephen Fraser, George Drance, SJ (LaMaMa Magis Theatre) will Emcee and the evening will culminate with a candle-lighting ceremony led by clergy from various churches and the Rabbi from the Actors’ Temple.

This is FREE to the public on a first come basis and will be followed by a reception.

St. Malachy’s Church was founded in 1902, The Actor’s Chapel established in 1920 as a spiritual oasis in NY for Broadway artists and fans alike.
