John Lloyd Young

John Lloyd Young returned to 54 Below in New York City with a brand new show celebrating his album My Turn, Live! to screaming fans who flew in from foreign and domestic locations. The room went wild with excitement when Young walked into the audience singing Henry Noble’s, “Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me.” Posing for selfies, he walked around the room greeting his fans which was wonderful because they were instantly sent all over the world giving him great exposure. They are a loyal group of fans and the bond grows even stronger.

Young poured his heart out singing Leon Carr & Earl Shuman’s “Hey There, Lonely Girl,” and Buck Ram’s “Only You,” teenage love songs of a generation that grew up in simpler times.

He left the gems of his repertoire to the end of the evening and the songs his fans never get tired of hearing, Bob Gaudio’s “Sherry Baby” and Bob Crewe & Bob Gaudio’s “Can’t Take My Eyes Off Of You” from Jersey Boys, where John Lloyd Young won a Tony playing Frankie Valli on Broadway and also revised his role on film.

JLY is accompanied by long time musical director Tommy Faragher.
