The 19th Annual Spotlight Gala 2014 was held last Saturday night at NJPAC. The Women’s Association of NJPAC work diligently to put together a spectacular evening. The evening started with cocktails in the lobby and at 7pm the guests were ushered into the Prudential Hall for a show and award ceremony. Musical director Seth Rudetsky of SeriusXM radio hosted the show. The entertainment line up included Broadway stars Faith Prince, Patina Miller, Laura Benanti, Andrea McArdle and Howard McGillin.
The Chambers Award for Service to the Community and to the Arts went to William and Paula Marino, The Ryan Award for Commitment to NJPAC and Leadership in the City of Newark went to Lawrence Goldman and The Vagelos Award for Corporate Commitment to the Arts was bestowed on The Chubb Corporation and Harold Morrison, Jr.
After dinner the guests returned to the lobby for coffee and dessert. To top off the evening, a tent had been set up off the lobby for dancing to a nine-piece band. A memorable evening for a great cause!
