‘The Theatre Will Survive’ was revealed last night, August 31, 2020 and turned out to be the event of the season!  Lyricist Michael Colby and Composer/Orchestrator Ned Paul Ginsburg made quite the splash on MetropolitanZoom in this fundraising event for The Actors Fund hosted by Sandi Durell and TheaterPizzazz.com.

Performers in the video include 29 voices:  Christine Andreas, Sarah Uriarte Berry, Christina Bianco, Chuck Cooper, Robert Cuccioli, Marc De la Cruz, George Dvorsky, Anita Gillette, Jason Graae, Ann Harada, Leah Hocking, Richard Jay-Alexander, Judy Kaye, Jeff Keller, Eddie Korbich, Michael McCormick, N’Kenge, Barry Pearl, Gabriella Pizzolo, Stephanie Pope, Faith Prince, Courtney Reed, T. Oliver Reid, Steve Rosen, Jennifer Sanchez, Analise Scarpaci, Tony Sheldon, Ryan Silverman, Paulo Szot.

Special guests Ben Vereen and Len Cariou stopped by to offer uplifting and emotional words that garnered major audience reactions.  After the video was shown, performers answered questions and provided their own brand of how and why theater has been such an important part of their lives, including never before heard tidbits about each of the artists with lots of positive and emotional words.  The ‘chat’ applause was deafening!

The music video, plus highlights from the Q & A of this live event, will soon be available for viewing on YouTube (with a paywall) to continue raising monies for the great work provided by The Actors Fund that is so urgent during these critical times.

Also present was Douglas Ramirez (Director of Special Events, The Actors Fund) as well as Michael Yeshion, videographer, who creatively made the video possible, and Ryan Bauer-Walsh responsible for creating special art work.

Thanks to all those who so generously donated to last night’s benefit! Donations can be made at www.actorsfund.org/TTWS
