The Golden Girl Betty White has died, just shy of 100 years old. She would have celebrated her 100th birthday on January 17. At the age of 87 Ms. White had a resurgence of her career starring in a Snickers commercial during Super Bowl giving her the chance to do some scene stealing starring on TV’s Hot in Cleveland for which she received an Emmy Nominations (her 17th).

Having thought she wanted to be a Forest Ranger way back when, a career not open to women at that time, she achieved some of that at the age of 88 when she was made an Honorary Forest Ranger at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. earning a badge, a hat and a hug from Smokey the Bear.
