SOME LIKE IT HOT, a new Broadway musical comedy which was postponed due to the pandemic, held a workshop that included Christian Borle as Joe/Josephine, Kevin Del Aguila as Osgood, J. Harrison Ghee as Jerry/Daphne, Adam Heller as Mulligan, Adrianna Hicks as Sugar, Mark Lotito as Spats, and NaTasha Yvette Williams as Sweet Sue.

The new musical features a book by Matthew Lopez (The Inheritance), music by Marc Shaiman, lyrics by Scott Wittman and Marc Shaiman (Hairspray) and direction and choreography by Casey Nicholaw (The Book of Mormon). The musical is based on the classic MGM Oscar-winning film SOME LIKE IT HOT and is produced by The Shubert Organization and Neil Meron. Dates for a Broadway run have not been announced.

The world premiere of Selina Fillinger‘s new play POTUS: Or, Behind Every Great Dumbass are Seven Women Trying to Keep Him Alive. A 2019 selection for The Kilroys’ List, this modern farce will stake its flag on Broadway this spring at the iconic Shubert Theatre (225 West 44th Street). POTUS marks the Broadway debut of 28-year-old playwright Selina Fillinger (Something Clean), in a production directed by five-time Tony Award winner Susan Stroman (The Producers, The Scottsboro Boys).
