The 28th Annual Mabel Mercer Cabaret Convention is over, the interruption caused by the closing of the Metropolitan Room has left a major gap in the community as we await word on another location and opening date, as performers scramble to find time slots in other clubs for their upcoming shows; and new popular East Side Cabaret Series, created by Mark Nadler at the Beach Café, is on hiatus until May.
But look at what is happening! There’s always a rainbow at the end of the cabaret tunnel. The cabarets and clubs are packed and booked to capacity. The love of cabaret keeps growing and so here’s a short list of some of the shows coming up. Always check the club calendars for complete listings and for schedule changes.
