Timeless Songs from the Silver Screen is Adrienne Haan’s new show, with Richard Danley on piano, premiering at the Triad Theater, honoring composers and songwriters and the power of their music in the film industry. This musical journey will take you from the start of silent movies in France in 1890, to the birth of the “talkies” in the United States in 1927, to today’s tight collaborations between filmmakers and composers, including Irving Berlin, Charlie Chaplin, John Williams, Henri Mancini, George Gershwin, Leonard Bernstein, James Horner, Michel Legrand, John Kander, Friedrich Hollaender, Diane Warren, Burt Bacharach, and many more.
