CHARLES BUSCH: MY FOOLISH HEART – APRIL 20 & 25 AT 7:00 PM  – Actor/playwright/cabaret entertainer, Tony® nominee and two-time MAC Award winner and Bistro Award honoree Charles Busch (Die Mommie Die, The Tale of the Allergist’s Wife) is a consummate storyteller.  Busch employs song and anecdote, both touching and hilarious, to create a uniquely personal cabaret evening.  His eclectic songbook includes the best of Michel Legrand, Stephen Sondheim, Henry Mancini and Joni Mitchell. CHELSEA TABLE + STAGE – New York’s newest hotspot for intimate dining and extraordinary music – will present Broadway’s hunky gay ex-Mormon dad Claybourne Elder, star of CompanySunday in the Park…, and HBO’s “The Gilded Age,” on Friday, April 28 at 9:30 PM. His concert “If the Stars Were Mine” is a hilarious, heartfelt, and surprisingly filthy evening that’s part cabaret and part stand-up. Using his favorite music from Sondheim, the Great American Songbook, Whitney Houston, and beyond, Clay explores sex, fatherhood, and what exactly happens when you eat the body of Christ. The evening features music director Rodney Bush. Matthew Schermerhorn and Andy Rice will return to The Triad Theater to debut their new show “I Want” Songs on May 10th  & 12th, 2023, at 7:00pm. Traditionally an “I Want” song takes place toward the start of a musical and sets up the wants of a leading character that drive their story forward.  Based on this idea, Matthew & Andy will sing musical theater “I Want” songs, as well as “I Want” songs from the world of pop, rock, and folk. Major musical theater writers that are represented will include Stephen SondheimCole PorterJohn Kander & Fred EbbStephen Schwartz, and Burton Lane  as well as American songbook and pop/ rock tunes by Burt BacharachBilly JoelJoni MitchellJim Croce, and The BeatlesSchermerhorn and Rice will be joined by music director David Shenton and bassist Jerry DeVore“I Want” Songs plays at The Triad Theater (158 W 72nd Street) on May 10th and 12th at 7:00pm. Tickets and information are available at www.TriadNYC.com
