A young couple finds their very different families object to their pairing. That familiar plotline is told with comedy and heart in Moss Hart and George S. Kaufman’s Pulitzer Prize-winning play “You Can’t Take It With You,” which is getting its newest Broadway revival, under the direction of Scott Ellis, at the Longacre Theatre beginning on August 26, with an official opening set for September 28.
The all-star ensemble of more than 20 cast members is led by Tony and Oscar winner James Earl Jones as “Grandpa” Martin Vanderhof, and includes such luminaries as film and television star Rose Byrne, Tony winner Elizabeth Ashley, and Tony nominees Kristine Nielsen, Annaleigh Ashford, and Reg Rogers.
At a meet-and-greet on July 23 at the American Airlines Theatre, Theater Pizzazz got a chance to chat with members of the cast about being part of this all-American classic.
