At Feinstein’s/54 Below, David Sabella (Chicago, The Phillie Triology) took us on his personal journey through a period of isolation with vulnerable reflection and small doses of humor in his new show Time Heals. The song choices, such as, “Lover/Spring Will Be a Little Late This Year” (Higher and Higher), were relevant to the present world and gave a glimpse of loneliness but like the seasons there is growth and healing when Spring arrives.

The admiration for David was evident in the intimate room filled with fans, fellow performers, and friends. David, who was nominated for the MAC 2022 Award, Major Artist -Male, gave a captivating storyteller’s rendition of “The Show Must Go On”, by Queen, (music and lyrics Freddie Mercury, Brian May, John Deacon, and Roger Taylor) that brought raw emotion to the audience as we came full circle on David’s journey.
