The nonprofit Help Is On The Way, (http://www.helpisonthewaytoday.org) was founded 20 years ago, after cabaret producer Joseph Macchia founded it after meeting a little boy named David who was living with cerebral palsy and HIV.
Mr. Macchia is celebrating both this anniversary and his 50th birthday September 22 at the Laurie Beechman Theatre, located in the West Bank Café, 407 West 42nd Street.
