The 2020 Kleban Prize winners received their just due at a ceremony at ASCAP and Theater Pizzazz’ Magda Katz was there to record it all. The event was hosted by Seth Saltzman and Patrick Cook.
Daniel Messé received his prize as most promising theatre lyricist (Amelie, Prelude to a Kiss) and Rehana Lew Mirza and Mike Lew (Bhangin’ It) were awarded their prize as most promising theatre librettists.
Attending Kleban Prize Judges included Gerard Alessandrini, Robyn Goodman, and Victoria Clark.
Others in attendance were former winners and Board Members Richard Maltby Jr. and Maury Yeston.
