What a delight it was to be part of Look Who’s in Love Wednesday night February 19th at the Laurie Beechman Theatre.  Newlywed duo Christine Reisner-Rebic and Don Rebic collaborated to create a “Cabaret Celebration of Romance.”  These two veteran artists performed love songs and shared the story of their meeting, falling in love and committing to each other. It was heart-warming and, above all, heart-felt.

Don did most of the arrangements and, luckily for us, he has mastered the computer allowing him to fill the evening with the orchestrations he had created. Having seen Don over the years arranging and playing for countless other artists,  is was captivating to hear him sing the passions of his heart.  His piano offerings were, as usual, stellar.

Christine sang, played the violin and danced as if “no one was watching.”  The newly married Mrs. Rebic has a true love for her craft and captivates her audience with a zest for giving and sharing her gifts.  Her tribute to her uncle, Broadway composer Albert Hague, was bewitching and beguiling.

What a thrill for me to see the happiness and joy with which they flooded the room.  Don and Christine have an enchanting blend of voices and experiencing their feelings on stage was healing.  I’m looking forward to their touring this show in all those places where the idea of love being attainable at any age is only a dream.  I wish them well in all of their future efforts and congratulate them on their style, passion and honesty.
