TheFrontOffice Foundation, charitable arm of Director/Producer Wendy C. Goldberg’s entertainment company, will be awarding a mid-career grant to a female identifying theater director that will serve as one of the largest financial awards to an individual director.
The grant of $25,000 will be both merit and need based honoring both the career of a deserving artist as well as attempt to keep a spotlight on the gender inequities that remain in the field. Applications will be accepted beginning October 1st. The selection committee is led by Wendy C. Goldberg, Patricia McGregor, Robert O’Hara, Lisa Peterson and Chay Yew.
Leading Funders for the grant include directors Rachel Chavkin, Tamilla Woodard, Lear DeBessonet, Wendy C. Goldberg and TheFrontOffice, Lila Neugebaur as well as individual donors Peggy J. Koenig and Jerry and Roz Meyer.
