Here’s your opportunity to celebrate the ever-popular Mint Theater Company in its continuing Silver Lining Streaming Series. On Monday February 22 (and continuing thru March 21) see the FREE and On Demand Women Without Men written by Hazel Ellis. The Irish Actress-Playwright only wrote two plays and this one was produced by Dublin’s Gate Theater in 1938 until it was unearthed by Mint Theater’s artistic director Jonathan Bank.
The all-female cast includes: Mary Bacon, Joyce Cohen, Shannon Harrington, Kate Middleton, Aedin Moloney, Alexa Shae Niziak, Kellie Overbey, Dee Pelletier, Beatrice Tulchin, Emily Walton and Amelia White; directed by Jenn Thompson. Experience the clash of conflict and petty competition amongst the cloistered teaching staff at an all-girls boarding school.
The play received 5 Drama Desk Award nominations + 2 Lucille Lortel Noms + an Off Broadway Alliance Award Nom.
