Moulin Rouge! will resume performances at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre on Sept. 24. The day before the first performance, the musical will hold a dress rehearsal for an audience of frontline workers. The company will be led by returning cast members Aaron Tveit, Danny Burstein, Sahr Ngaujah, Tam Mutu, Ricky Rojas and Robyn Hurder

Karen Olivo, who played Satine in the original company, announced April 14 that she would not return to the cast in the wake of allegations made against producer Scott Rudin and general inequity in the industry. 


Dear Evan Hansen will reopen at the Music Box Theatre on Dec. 11. In addition to the Broadway reopening, the London production will reopen at the Noël Coward Theatre on Oct. 26 and the North American tour will relaunch Dec. 7 in Greensboro, N.C. Casting for the musical’s Broadway return has not yet been confirmed. Tickets for the Broadway and touring productions are on sale.

Flying Over Sunset” will begin Broadway performances Nov. 4 at the Vivian Beaumont Theater. The new musical, which was originally scheduled to begin previews the day of the Broadway shutdown, has set an opening night of Dec. 6 – The three leads, who play fictionalized versions of real people, are confirmed to return. Harry Hadden-Paton will play Aldous Huxley, Carmen Cusack will play Clare Boothe Luce and Tony Yazbeck will play Cary Grant.


The Off-Broadway opera “Intimate Apparel,” which features music by Ricky Ian Gordon, a libretto by Lynn Nottage and direction by Bartlett Sher, will resume performance Jan. 13 at the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater, with an opening night Jan. 27.
