Written by Joël Rene Scoville – It’s their two year anniversary and all Ethel Williams wants to do is have a romantic night with her secret love, Ethel Waters.

Latiné Musical Theatre Lab (Ryan Morales Green, Founder & Producing Artistic Director) and Prospect Theater Company (Cara Reichel, Producing Artistic Director; Melissa Huber, Managing Director) have partnered to present New Musicals Mixtape, a first look at new musicals written by members of the Latiné Musical Theatre Lab’s Julia de Burgos Cohort. This 90-minute concert evening features songs from six work-in-progress musicals, alongside interviews with the writing teams, providing insight to their creative process.

After an astonishing New York run this Fall, SAW The Musical The Unauthorized Parody of Saw has extended its run Off-Broadway at AMT Theatre (345 West 45th Street) through Jun 23, 2024. Rattlestick Theatre (224 Waverly Pl. NYC)  announces Dael Orlanderesmith’s solo piece Spiritus/Virgil’s Dance In conversation with Dante’s Divine Comedy we meet Virgil who reframes death and find the extraordinary. Directed by Neel Keller, the show begins performances Feb. 1 ’24 in partnership with Merrimack Repertory Theatre where it was originally commissioned.
