Broadway newcomer Elijah Rhea Johnson will take over the role of Michael Jackson in MJ on Broadway beginning April 4, 2023. Originally from Detroit, MI, Johnson returns to MJ after helping to develop the role of “Middle Michael” throughout the workshop process. Tony Award winner Myles Frost will depart the production on April 2, 2023 after a history making year and a half in the role.

NJ Rep (179 Broadway in Long Branch NJ), is proud to present The Shot by Robin Gerber, directed by Michelle Joyner, and starring Emmy nominated actress Sharon Lawrence as Katharine Graham. It will begin its limited run on April 6 and run through April 23, 2023. The Shot, is about former Washington Post publisher Katharine Graham and that part of her life that is hard to look at and understand. Before becoming publisher, Katharine was an abused wife, derided in public and beaten in private by her husband, who had inherited The Washington Post newspaper from Katharine’s father. Following a critically acclaimed, sold-out run at the 2022 Hollywood Fringe Festival, Los Angeles-based writer and performer Colin Campbell is set to premiere Grief: A One Man ShitShow at Theatre Row from March 29 – April 16, 2023. After a drunk driver killed both his teenage children, Campbell channeled his shock, anguish, and rage into this tragic-comic exploration of our culture’s inability to talk about grief. Directed by Michael Schlitt, this strictly limited engagement is set to open on Sunday, April 2. Tickets are now on sale at www.griefaonemanshitshow.com

Broadway rehearsals began for Good Night, Oscar starring Sean Hayes. as Oscar Levant.Written by Pulitzer Prize-winner Doug Wright and directed by Lisa PetersonGood Night, Oscar begins performances on April 7 and opens on April 24 at Broadway’s Belasco Theatre, (111 West 44th Street).
