Abingdon Theatre Company (Chad Austin, Producing Artistic Director) is thrilled to announce the performers honoring Tony & Obie Award winner V (formerly Eve Ensler) and Obie Award winner & Tony Award nominee Mary Beth Peil at their 31st Anniversary Gala.
Set to celebrate Abingdon Theatre Company’s 31st season Off-Broadway and recognize honorees V (formerly Eve Ensler) and Mary Beth Peil is Academy Award Nominee Michelle Williams (The Fabelmans, Manchester by the Sea); Rosario Dawson (Rent, Disney+’s Ahsoka); Two-Time Tony Award Winners Christine Ebersole (Grey Gardens, 42nd Street) and Katie Finneran (Promises, Promises, Noise Off); Tony Award Winner Laura Benanti (Gypsy, My Fair Lady); Tony Award Nominees Kate Baldwin (Hello, Dolly!), L Morgan Lee (A Strange Loop), and Mary Testa (Oklahoma!); and a bevy of Broadway stars including Bianca Marroquín (Chicago), Lesli Margherita (Matilda), Scarlett Strallen (Mary Poppins), Dee Roscioli (Wicked), Ilda Mason (Spielberg’s West Side Story), and more to be announced at a later date. Chad Austin will direct the evening, with musical direction by Robbie Cowan.

Award-winning Off-Broadway theater Urban Stages announces it will produce Peter Sinn Nachtrieb’s play The Making of a Great Moment, with Bill Bowers and Esther Williamson, directed by James Barry, Chester Theater Company’s Co-Producing Artistic Director. Previews begin September 28th, 2023, and Opening Night will be October 5th, 2023 thru October 29 The play was performed this summer at Chester Theater, directed by Mr. Barry, and will have its New York premiere at Urban Stages this fall. www.UrbanStages.org
The Tony Award®-winning Best Musical Moulin Rouge! The Musical will welcome Tituss Burgess returning to Broadway in the role of Harold Zidler beginning Tuesday, October 10 at Broadway’s Al Hirschfeld Theatre (302 West 45th St, NYC). Three-time Tony Award winning LaChanze will perform a solo show for the inaugural season at Perelman Performing Arts Center on October 1. The performance, titled An Evening with LaChanze, is co-written by LaChanze and Daniel “Koa” Beaty. It will include direction by Jerry Dixon and musical direction by Marco Paguia and is the first of PAC NY’s Downtown Sessions Series, which expands PAC NYC’s music program by presenting intimate concerts with Tony Award-winning artists.
