The original Broadway cast of Mrs. Doubtfire will record a cast album this week in New York City. The album will feature the Broadway cast that opened the show on December 5, 2021, including Tony Award nominee Rob McClure as Daniel Hillard, Jenn Gambatese as Miranda Hillard, Peter Bartlett as Mr. Jolly, Charity Angél Dawson as Wanda Sellner, Mark Evans as Stuart Dunmire, J. Harrison Ghee as Andre Mayem, Analise Scarpaci as Lydia Hillard, Jake Ryan Flynn as Christopher Hillard, Avery Sell as Natalie Hillard and Tony Award nominee Brad Oscar as Frank Hillard. Blueprint Productions presents Chekhov + Turgenev, two Russian classics presented in repertory, and scored in jazz: About Love, a musical play with songs, inspired by Ivan Turgenev’s novella, “First Love”; and Three Sisters, a sparkling new adaptation of the play Anton Chekhov. Both productions are adapted and directed by Will Pomerantz, and feature an original jazz score by Nancy Harrow, performed nightly by a live jazz quartet. Chekhov + Turgenev plays a four-week repertory, May 10 through June 5 at The Sheen Center (18 Bleecker Street at the corner of Elizabeth Street, NYC) in The Frank Shiner Theater. SAY: The Stuttering Association for the Young (www.say.org) will host its 20th Annual Benefit Gala, live and in person, on Monday, May 9, 2022. The evening will begin at 6:00 PM at Tribeca 360 and will feature a performance and dinner. Mariska Hargitay and Peter Hermann are the Honorary Chairs and SNL’s Heidi Gardner will host the Benefit Gala, honoring SAY’s 2022 Budd Mayer Advocacy Award recipient BBDO. Recent recipients of honors from the organization include Thomas Kail, Joe Moglia, Kelli O’Hara, Jay Badame & Linda D’Alessandro, Marcia & Bill Withers, and George Springer.
