John Pizzarelli, one of the most acclaimed interpreters of classic and modern song, continues the evolution of the standards songbook and celebrates the 40th anniversary of his debut recording and his new album Stage and Screen in concert at Birdland Jazz Club, April 25–29. Joining him are his trio with bassist Mike Karn and pianist Isaiah J. Thompson.  Out April 21, 2023 via Palmetto Records, Stage and Screen finds inspiration in classic songs from Broadway musicals and Hollywood films. The cleverly chosen repertoire spans nearly nine decades also celebrating the 40th anniversary of Pizzarelli’s 1983 debut recording, I’m Hip (Please Don’t Tell My Father).

Songbook Sundays, created and hosted by Deborah Grace Winer celebrating the American Songbook will continue at Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Dizzy’s with A LITTLE BIT OF LERNER AND LOEWE on Sunday, March 26th at 5 PM and 7:30 PM at Dizzy’s Club.A Little Bit of Lerner and Loewe swings the legendary songs of Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe as Jazz at Lincoln Center American Songbook celebrates the first week of spring at Dizzy’s Club.  This Songbook Sundays jam party heats up the legendary tunes with a fresh jazz take on such hits as My Fair LadyBrigadoonCamelotGigi and Paint Your Wagon. (also live streamed) To purchase, visit: 

Academy Award and Golden Globe-winning actress Mira Sorvino is set to debut at Café Carlyle, June 13 – June 17. The show entitled “My Life in 20 Songs” will be a night of the music and stories that shaped Mira. Mira Sorvino can currently be seen as “Rosemary” in the Starz horror-comedy series Shining Vale from creators Jeff Astrof and Sharon Horgan, and in Ryan Murphy’s critically acclaimed anthology series American Crime Story: Impeachment for FX, as Monica Lewinsky’s mother “Marcia Lewis”.
