John Pizzarelli, one of the most acclaimed interpreters of classic and modern song, continues the evolution of the standards songbook and celebrates the 40th anniversary of his debut recording and his new album Stage and Screen in concert at Birdland Jazz Club, April 25–29. Joining him are his trio with bassist Mike Karn and pianist Isaiah J. Academy Award and Golden Globe-winning actress Mira Sorvino is set to debut at Café Carlyle, June 13 – June 17. The show entitled “My Life in 20 Songs” will be a night of the music and stories that shaped Mira. Mira Sorvino can currently be seen as “Rosemary” in the Starz horror-comedy series Shining Vale from creators Jeff Astrof and Sharon Horgan, and in Ryan Murphy’s critically acclaimed anthology series American Crime Story: Impeachment for FX, as Monica Lewinsky’s mother “Marcia Lewis”.
