Bernard Furshpan hosted the first of his new series “This is Your Night.”  The recipient of the first award was Maryann Lopinto.  It was clear by the performers, on stage and in the audience, that Maryann has had quite an impact on the Broadway and the Cabaret world in New York City.  Luminaries like Barry Levitt, Lee Roy Reams, Eric Michael Gillett, Jason Graae, Mark Nadler, KT Sullivan, Karen Mason, Anita Gillette and others performed and told stories of their meeting and resulting friendships.

There was a singing voice message from Marilyn Maye, a poem sent from Amanda McBroom, read by KT Sullivan, as well as other messages from actors and singers out in the world doing engagements.  Maryann was honored for her work with Equity Fights Aids as well as countless other organizations and individuals who have been the recipients of her many kindnesses and support.  It was a joy to be a part of this glorious evening and share in the love and good will that she received.

This Youtube expresses the feelings that filled the Metropolitan Room.
