Oscar winning comedian, actor Robin Williams was pronounced dead at age 63 at his home in Northern California. There is a tremendous outpouring of devastation from his fellow actors, friends and fans who knew he was suffering from depression but not to the extent where he would take his own life, which it appears he did on Monday. As of now, the Coroner suspects “the death to be a suicide due to asphyxia,” An investigation is underway.
Robin Williams had a long history of both alcohol and drug problems. He married his third wife graphic designer Susan Schneider in Napa Valley, California, in October 2011. The family is asking for privacy at this time as they deal with the tragedy of his death.
Williams was a gifted actor and comic genius rising to stardom in the 1970s for his role in the TV sitcom “Mork & Mindy” and for his film roles such as “Good Will Hunting,” “Good Morning, Vietnam,” “Mrs. Doubtfire” and many others.
He will be sorely missed by so many.
