‘Help me, Help me God!’ These are our elected or wannabe officials??? No wonder we’re sinking fast as Mario Correa defines in this outrageous dirty and dirtier romp of an expose, currently at the Lynn Redgrave Theater at Culture Project, sprightly directed by Dan Knechtges.

Burton,

Burton, Smith

The quick and nimble cast of spinners {in the spirit of The Capitol Steps (sans music) but with many more double entendre, 4-letter words and porno gestures} in this zany romp include the always facetious fabulously funny Arnie Burton, who spoofs Mark (“Underage Page”) Foley and more, as his tale of woe unfolds in an avalanche of emails and texts. Then again, the entire script, based upon actual emails, tweets and encounters, reeks of everything “X” – um, no “SEX” rated.

Larry (“Wide Stance”) Craig, played by Sean Dugan, is a hoot of lewd bathroom intrigue at the airport in a gay encounter doing the “bathroom stomp” that shook up not only his Idaho constituency, but surely his beloved wife Suzanne, played by Rachel Dratch, who is especially funny being Barbara Walters, or “Miss Germany.”

4677c61751fa4ea2ad71f9e7ca9580c2Tom Galantich does justice to married Governor Mark (“Appalachian Trail”) Sanford whose affair with Argentinian Maria Belen Chapur became item of the day when he said he was out hiking (is that what they call it now?) but more recently ended the affair when he posted a 2300 word FB announcement.

And lest we forget (hopefully forever) the incomprehensible Anthony (“I Was Hacked”) Weiner tweets and texts with stripper friends, who kept coming back like a bad dream in his bid for Mayor when all he really had to offer was a ‘package’ he felt compelled to share. Nate Smith is priceless in the role.

Some will laugh, others will smirk as our politicians are exposed for who they are in this 80 minute spoof that runs for 10 weeks at the Lynn Redgrave Theater, 45 Bleecker Street. 866 811-4111 www.TailSpinShow.com
