It saddens me deeply to write this as a friend of Ervin and Edith Drake, that this talented, lovable gentleman has passed away at the age of 95 at home.
For those of you who have had the privilege of knowing and/or working with Ervin you have been blessed.
Ervin Drake, the short view, has written songs “I Believe,” “Good Morning, Heartache,” “It Was a Very Good Year,” “A Room Without Windows” and so much more.
I was thrilled to not only interview Ervin and Edith several years back, but to produce a Tribute to Ervin Drake on April 25, 2014 featuring a group of cabaret and theater’s finest performers. There will be much more to come!
