Bistro Award Winner for Outstanding Tribute Show, Stephanie Trudeau, was excited to perform “Chavela: Think of Me” on November 4th at Don’t Tell Mama. But with the surge in Covid-19 infections, her concern grew. She thoughtfully came to the conclusion it’s wiser and safer to not gather people in an indoor space where they will be drinking and eating, masks off, even at reduced numbers.
Stephanie writes “I cancelled the show because I am concerned about the surging numbers of Covid infections . . . After thinking long and hard about numbers going up and not down, I don’t feel comfortable asking an audience to share my performance. We’re not there yet.”
