The story revolves around the title character whose mid-life regrets and longing bubble to the surface when his relatives and friends gather at the family farm one hot summer. The wrong people fall in love, desires and resentments erupt, unbreakable ties are broken and everyone is forced to reckon with their unlived lives. Playwright and actor Heidi Schreck (What the Constitution Means to Me) has written a strikingly immediate new translation for us and it is just wonderful.
