Love is in the air at 54 Below, Broadway’s supper club as executive chef Andre Marrero presents his special Prix Fix menu this Valentine’s Day. Pre-theater dinner begins at 5pm and that evening Andrea McArdle, Broadway’s original Annie, takes the stage at 8pm andMichael McCorry Rose and Tiffany Haas will perform at the 11pm show.
Executive Chef of 54 Below, Andre Marrero, has created a Modern American Bistro menu that integrates European and Asian flavors with familiar American dishes. Chef Marrero trained at the French Culinary Institute and has worked at some of New York City’s top restaurants including Perry Street Restaurant and L’Atelier de Joel Robuchon. In addition, Chef Marrero returned to the French Culinary Institute five years ago to oversee the creation of the school’s Catering and Events Department.
“I was trained in classical French cooking and worked in a number of different types of restaurants” says Chef Marrero. “At 54 Below, I am able to combine all my culinary influences for a menu that I believe brings great flavor to the table in interesting ways.”
