LOOKING FOR THE YOUNG MICHAEL JACKSON – IT COULD BE YOU~~ Producers Lia Vollack Productions and The Michael Jackson Estate, in partnership with iHeartRadio Broadway, announced today a nationwide search for a “Young Michael Jackson.” MJ ,inspired by the life and art of Michael Jackson, will begin performances on Broadway on December 6, 2021, with an opening night set for Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at the newly refurbished Neil Simon Theatre (250 W 52nd Street). In MJ, “Young Michael” appears at age 10 and should have an unchanged singing voice. Performers may be older or younger to audition, as long as they are still able to sing in Young Michael’s range.

Axis Theatre Company is pleased to present a remount of Worlds Fair Inn, an absurdist comedy written and directed by Randy SharpWorlds Fair Inn takes inspiration from the failures and genius of three men: “father of the atomic bomb” J. The famed Neighborhood Playhouse will host a special event on Monday, September 20 to celebrate the re-opening of the school for in-person classes and unveil the first phase of capital improvements made over the last year to its iconic facility at 340 East 54th Street.  The Playhouse will open its red doors for a “Red Door Reading” to welcome a group of alumni, students, faculty, and board members for a reading of Odets’ provocative one-act play Waiting for Lefty, directed and performed by Playhouse Alumni.
