The Public Theater and National Black Theatre (NBT) have announced complete casting for the upcoming New York Premiere of FAT HAM written by James Ijames and directed by Public Theater Associate Artistic Director and Resident Director Saheem Ali. Following an exciting and innovative filmed production produced by The Wilma Theater in 2021 during the shutdown, FAT HAM will make its live New York premiere this spring in the Anspacher Theater. The cast includes Nikki Crawford (Tedra), Chris Herbie Holland (Tio), Billy Eugene Jones (Rev/Papp), Adrianna Mitchell (Opal), Calvin Leon Smith (Larry), Marcel Spears (Juicy), and Benja Kay Thomas (Rabby). Performances will begin with a Joseph Papp Free Performance on Thursday, May 12 and run through Sunday, June 12. FAT HAM will officially open on Thursday, May 26. www.publictheater.org

The Bedwetter has released rehearsal photos prior to the start of performances on Saturday, April 30th opening Monday, May 23rd for a limited engagement through Sunday, June 19th, 2022 at Atlantic Theater Company’s Linda Gross Theater (336 West 20th Street).The Bedwetter will feature Ashley Blanchet (Waitress),Rick Crom (HBO’s “Divorce”), Charlotte Elizabeth Curtis (Off-Broadway debut), Zoe Glick (Frozen), Darren Goldstein (The Little Foxes), Caissie Levy (Caroline, or Change), Charlotte MacLeod (Off-Broadway debut), Ellyn Marie Marsh (The Rose Tattoo), Tony Award winner Bebe Neuwirth (Chicago, “Cheers”), Margot Weintraub (Off-Broadway debut), and Emily Zimmerman (Off-Broadway debut).
