The New York Philharmonic and Music Director Jaap van Zweden open the 2021–22 season, marking the return to live subscription performances since March 2020, when concerts were cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. NBC’s Annie Live has added another familiar name to its cast. Tony winner Jane Krakowski will join Taraji P. Henson, Harry Connick Jr., Tituss Burgess and Nicole Scherzinger in the musical, which has also tapped young actress Celina Smith to play the title role. Krakowski will play the sticky-fingered partner of Burgess’ Rooster Hannigan, marking a reunion of the former Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt co-stars. Annie Live will be the second TV musical in 2021 for Krakowski.
