Ogunquit Playhouse May 2021

Ogunquit Playhouse builds a 25,000 sq. ft Outdoor Pavilion for 2021 Season. Named for benefactors Carol and Noel Leary, The Pavilion is a fully covered steel structure wired for lighting and sound, with a 96-foot-wide stage that will showcase Ogunquit Playhouse’s sidesplitting mainstage lineup: Monty Python’s Spamalot (Jun 16 – Jun 10), the regional premiere of Jimmy Buffett’s Escape to Margaritaville (Jul 14 – Aug 28), the world premiere of Mystic Pizza: A New Musical (Sep 1 – Oct 2), and Mel Brooks’ Young Frankenstein (Oct 6 – Oct 31). www.ogunquitplayhouse.org

Arlekin Players Theatre today announces  spring dates: May 23 – June 24 for chekhovOS /an experimental game/, the latest production from (zero-G), Arlekin’s Zero Gravity Virtual Theater Lab. The cast of chekhovOS /an experimental game/ features Tony-Nominee Jessica Hecht,  Anna Baryshnikov, Darya Denisova, Anna Bortnick , Jeffrey Hayenga, Melanie, Mark Nelson, Nael Nacer. New York Theatre Barn will host a free live stream of its award-winning New Works Series on Wednesday, May 26th, 2021 at 7PM EST, featuring excerpts from the new musicals The Loophole and The Bridge. The live 1-hour presentation will also feature a conversation with the writers. The Loophole is the new musical from 2020 Richard Rodgers Award winners Jay Adana (music and lyrics) and Zebiba Now (book and bars).
