Roundabout Theatre Company has announced that Tony & Emmy Award winner LaChanze will star in the Broadway premiere of Trouble in Mind by Alice Childress, directed by Charles Randolph-Wright. Previews begin Oct. 19, opening Nov. 18 for a limited engagement thru Jan. 9. LaChanze received a Tony Award Nom for Best Performance by a Leading Actress in the Donna Summer Musical (2018).

2021 Jimmy Award Nominees (Part 1) takes place July 15 in a virtual ceremony. It’s the biggest night in high school musical theater presented by the Broadway League Foundation. Students participate in an intensive coaching and rehearsals with Broadway pros as they prepare for a one-night-only talent showcase on a Broadway stage.
