The Tank will present two new co-productions for its summer 2021 season: the outdoor Botte di Ferro and the audio-visual experience Samuel. The season launches July 16–29 with Ben Gassman’s Botte di Ferro, presented in association with Meucci & Bell in the garden of Brooklyn’s The Good Fork Restaurant. The cast will include Jess M. Barbagallo (Harry Potter and the Cursed Child), Laura Caparrotti, Layla M. Khoushnoudi (Dance Nation), and Alessandro Magania (The Wooster Group’s Hamlet).

Alexis Roblan’s Samuel, co-produced with the playwright, will run July 22–August 14 at The Tank NYC. Directed by Dara Malina, the cast will include Barbagallo (Harry Potter and the Cursed Child), Morgan McGuire (Bloodshot: The Call), Keilly McQuail (Lunch Bunch), Carolyn Mignini (The Rose Tattoo), Lori Elizabeth Parquet (SHADOW/LAND), Lynnea Prunty (Brown Eyed Rapunzel), and Amy Staats (Miles for Mary). The production invites audience members to listen to audio scenes on their own devices as they explore an unnerving visual world of collective loss, existential fear, and the everyday trauma of family relationships. www.theTankNYC.org 

TV and Broadway talent join Outdoor “Music at the Mansion: Porch Performances” in Bloomfield, NJ presented by NiCori Studios & Productions. Thru Sept. 25 you can experience an evening of dinner and top entertainment hosted by Music at the Mansion host, Corinna Sowers Adler that will be safe, socially distant and fun! New theater keeps happening and the latest offering is Strongbox Theater in East Rockaway, L.I., NY in Memorial Park July 9 thru 31 with the laugh-out-loud production of Hitchcock’s The 39 Steps. It’s FREE. 

Williamstown Theatre Festival kicked off its 2021 Live Season with the first performance of the world premiere series Celebrating the Black Radical Imagination: Nine Solo Plays. Solo commissioned plays on the Front Lawn of the ‘62 Center for Theatre and Dance thru July 25 brought to life by Black directors with world premieres written by Guadalís Del Carmen, France-Luce Benson, NSangou Njikam, J. Nicole Brooks, Terry Guest, Ike Holter, Zora Howard, Charly Evon Simpson, and Ngozi Anyanwu. The series is guest curated by Tony Award® nominee Robert O’Hara (Slave Play, A Raisin in the Sun at WTF. The project features actors from across the career development spectrum from early career to established, including Brian D. Coats, Rosalyn Coleman, Cindy De La Cruz, Antwayn Hopper, Naomi Lorrain, Sharina Martin, Ronald Peet, Portia, and Ashley C. Turner. More information: www.wtfestival.org 

Live at The New Am: A Benefit Concert for The Actors Fund, celebrating the reopening of Broadway’s New Amsterdam Theatre and honoring the remarkable support that The Actors Fund has provided to members of the entertainment industry throughout the pandemic, will treat audiences to the most-beloved hit songs from Disney’s Broadway shows – including “Beauty and the Beast,” “A Whole New World,” “Circle of Life” and “Let it Go” – as performed by Disney on Broadway stars Ashley Brown (Mary Poppins), Michael James Scott (Aladdin), Kissy Simmons (The Lion King) and Josh Strickland (Tarzan).
