New York Stage and Film will return July 17-August 1 with in-person programming in Poughkeepsie for their 2021 Summer Season, in partnership with Vassar College, Marist College, and Revel 32 °. The summer festival East To Edinburgh is turned into a virtual showcase of Fringe-worthy productions with EAST TO EDINBURGH GOES VIRTUAL 2021
The 2021 curated line-up, which features nine shows, begins streaming on July 15 for a limited engagement through July 25. The shows are available on-demand at the 59E59 Theaters website. Merrill Grant tells all in her new 70 minute video working with Peter Grunberg (San Francisco Symphony). Taped at the Starbright Theater, there is new music by London based composer/lyricist team Sarah-Louise Young and Michael Roulston.  How I got to San Francisco- Plenty of Heart and Plenty of Hope is Grant’s story of growing up with dreams of an artistic career in ballet, then opera,  living in New York, a long relationship with a Tony Award winning Broadway producer, shifting careers, meeting her fiance and the move west. www.merrillgrant.com  

Grammy noms The Avett Brothers new musical “Swept Away” releases video of title song. Performances begin January 9, 2022 at Berkeley Rep.
