Due to popular demand, Katsura Sunshine’s Rakugo has added a new block of tickets through the end of the year at NYC’s New World Stages. Sunshine will also continue to perform on London’s West End at the Leicester Square Theatre. Katsura Sunshine’s Rakugo celebrates the art of comic storytelling and features a lone storyteller dressed in kimono, kneeling on a cushion, using only a fan and a hand towel for props, entertaining the audience with a comic monologue followed by traditional stories that have been handed down from Master-to-Apprentice for centuries.

A comic spy thriller by two-time Emmy nominee and WGA award-winner Mark Wilding (Grey’s Anatomy, Scandal, Good Girls, Charmed) is set to receive its New York City off-Broadway premiere in September. Presciliana Esparolini, Nick McDow Musleh and George Tovar will reprise the roles they created in the world premiere production at L.A.’s Theatre West, with Steve Nevil and Michael Van Duzer returning as Richard Nixon and Henry Kissinger. Charlie Mount again directs. Tony and Olivier-winning OHenry Productions, in association with Seaview Productions, Eric Kuhn, and Jonathan Demar, announce the Off-Broadway transfer of the sold-out, New York Times critic’s pick production of This Beautiful Future. Written by Rita Kalnejais and directed by Jack Serio, This Beautiful Future is a story of young love set during World War II. It had a twice-extended limited run at Theaterlab marking the playwright’s New York debut in January 2022. This Beautiful Future will now play the Cherry Lane Theatre (38 Commerce Street, Manhattan) for six weeks only, from September 10 through October 30, 2022, with an opening set for Tuesday, September 20.
