The Entertainment Community Fund announced today that they will present And All That Jazz: A Celebration of the Legendary Chita Rivera, a one-night-only benefit concert celebrating Chita Rivera’s 90th birthday on Monday, February 20, 2023 at 7:30 pm ET at the Shubert Theatre (225 West 44th St.) The event will feature Laura Benanti, Jason DanieleyGeorge DvorskyAndy Karl, Nathan Lane, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Bebe Neuwirth, Orfeh, Mary Beth Peil, John Riddle, Leslie Uggams, Betsy Wolfe, the American Pops Orchestra conducted by Luke Frazier and iconic dance numbers staged by Lloyd Culbreath.

 Second Stage Theater will host a Winter’s Ball geared towards young professionals and arts patrons. The fundraising event will take place on Monday, February 27 at The Pierre Hotel (2 East 61st Street). The evening will feature three parts, starting with an intimate cocktail party, followed by an exclusive performance by Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winner Michael R. Jackson, and ending with a dance party hosted by Academy Award, Grammy and Emmy-winner Common, who is currently starring in Second Stage’s acclaimed production of Between Riverside and Crazy.The evening’s Co-Chairs are Natasa and Michael Valocchi and the Host Committee includes Tara and Michael Adashev, Mia and Fergus Campbell, Janet Lynne Knopf, Sarah Kupferman, Dre and Pitch Lindsay, Max Needle, Anne and Adrian Perry, Victoria Tomkins, Sydney Wolofsky and Joshua Diamond.  The Ball begins at 8:00pm with cocktails, followed the performance at 9:00pm and the dance party at 10:00pm. The Wire‘s Andre Royo will star in an off-Broadway revival of Eric Bogosian’s Drinking in America, directed by Mark Armstrong. The play will be staged at Audible’s Minetta Lane Theatre beginning March 10 for a four-week engagement, with the production recorded and released as an audio edition at a later date.

Alicia Keys is bringing Hell’s Kitchen to Broadway, featuring music and lyrics by Alicia Keys and book by multi-award-winning playwright Kristoffer Diaz. Hell’s Kitchen will be directed by Michael Greif – who has won three Obie Awards and received four Tony Award nominations, with choreography by Camille A. Brown, and musical direction by Adam Blackstone, the multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, producer and bassist. auditions for Equity card holders are being held Friday, February 17 at Actors’ Equity New York Audition Center, 165 W46th Street, with hopefuls being asked to prepare a short pop or R&B song in the style of Alicia Keys.
