Hadestown, Broadway’s Tony Award®-winning Best New Musical and winner of the 2020 Grammy Award® for Best Musical Theater Album, will return to the Walter Kerr Theatre (219 West 48th Street) on Thursday, September 2 in what is sure to be a thrilling and emotional performance. The producers, Mara Isaacs, Dale Franzen, Hunter Arnold, Tom Kirdahy, wish to thank the Governor’s office for their support and guidance in reopening Broadway and New York.  Prior to the general on sale, tickets will go on sale exclusively for American Express® Card Members on Tuesday, June 1 at 10 AM ET through Tuesday, June 8 at 9:59 AM ET by visiting www.hadestown.com.

Girl From the North Country will reopen on Broadway at the Belasco Theatre on October 13 with a majority of the cast returning including Todd Almond, Jeanette Bayardelle, Caitlin Houlahan, Marc Kudisch, Luba Mason, Austin Scott, Kimber Elayne Sprawl and Mare Winningham. Colin Bates joins replacing Colton Ryan.


As shows announce opening dates, a decision is yet to be made on whether producers and theater owners  will require audience and cast/crew members to be vaccinated. This, of course, would allow theaters to reopen at full capacity and allow audience members to sit unmasked. Unions need to set final terms for contracts and safety protocols.


Hugh Jackman is planning to produce a bunch of projects with wife Deborra-Lee Furness in order to help revive Broadway post pandemic.


Red Bull Theater will be presenting a special benefit reading of Ben Jonson’s Volpone or The Fox, directed by Jesse Berger. This new version will feature emendations & elaborations by Berger and Playwright Jeffrey Hatcher and will star Andre De Shields.


Theatre Aspen Gala will feature Daren Criss as headliner for its in-persona summer season gala, Midsummer Masquerade on July 25.
