The Flea-Hang Time; Urban Stages – Eleanor and Alice; Immersive Gatsby; Atlantic Stage 2- A Simulacrum; Broadway Grosses Week of 3/14

The Flea announced today the complete cast and design team for the world-premiere production of HANG TIME, the new play written and directed by Pulitzer Prize finalist Zora Howard. The strictly limited engagement, which marks Ms. Howard’s directorial debut, will begin performances at The Flea (20 Thomas Street) on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, and run through Monday, April 3. HANG TIME’s cast includes Akron Watson as ‘Slim,’ Cecil Blutcher as ‘Blood,’ and Dion Graham as ‘Bird.” Aaron Morton will understudy the three roles.

Atlantic Theater Company’s(Neil Pepe, Artistic Director; Jeffory Lawson, Managing Director) world premiere of A Simulacrum, written by Tony Award nominee Lucas Hnath (Dana H.) with Steve Cuiffo, directed by Lucas Hnath. A Simulacrum will begin performances on Thursday, March 25th, and will now open Wednesday, June 14th, for a limited engagement through Sunday, June 25th, 2023 Off-Broadway at Atlantic Stage 2 (330 West 16th Street).

Award-winning Off-Broadway theater, Urban Stages, announces it will host an Encore presentation of Ellen Abrams’ Eleanor and Alice – Conversations Between Two Remarkable Roosevelts, directed by Urban Stages Founder/Artistic Director Frances Hill and starring Tony Award Winner Terzana Beverley and Drama Desk Award Winner Mary BaCON. Immersive Everywhere’s critically acclaimed immersive production of The Great Gatsby will now begin performances on May 23, and will open on June 15, 2023. Created and directed by Alexander Wright, the UK’s longest-running immersive production will make its American and New York debut at The Gatsby Mansion at the Park Central Hotel New York (870 Seventh Avenue), a Highgate managed hotel. www.Immersive Gatsby.com
