Mint Theater Company (Jonathan Bank, Producing Artistic Director) will return to New York City Center Stage II with two plays by famous authors each different in setting and style, yet each tells the story of an exceptional young woman trying to make her way in a world dominated by powerful men. Noël Coward’s The Rat Trap, directed by Alexander Lass. Performances will begin November 1st at New York City Center Stage II (131 West 55th Street, between 6th & 7th Avenues) for a limited Off-Broadway engagement through December 10th only. Opening Night is set for Monday November 21st (6:30pm). Becomes a Woman, an unpublished and unproduced play by Betty Smith (A Tree Grows in Brooklyn). Smith’s 1930 drama will run from February 7 through March 18, 2023, at NY City Center Stage II, directed by Britt Berke. www/nycCenter.org

The Gene Frankel Theater (24 Bond Street) presents a musical play “Dracula. Finding of a Shadow“, written by Lisa Monde, directed by Thomas R> Gordon & Lisa Monde, inspired by the original gothic novel written by Bram Stoker – “Dracula”, as well as the two recently published works by the famous writer’s great grand-nephew Dacre Stoker:  the sequel – “Dracula the Un-Dead” and the prequel – “Dracul”. Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director/CEO) announces the world premiere of Primary Trust by playwright Eboni Booth, directed by Knud Adams, will star Emmy Award nominee William Jackson Harper (“The Underground Railroad”) and Obie and Outer Critics Circle Award winner April Matthis (The Piano Lesson).                                        

An Emmy Award nominee for “The Good Place,” Harper was last seen on stage in 2017 in Zoe Kazan’s After the Blast opposite Cristin Milioti. Matthis returns to Roundabout following her Obie Award-winning turn in Toni Stone; she makes her Broadway debut in The Piano Lesson this fall. Primary Trust begins preview performances on Thursday, May 4, 2023 and opens officially on Thursday, May 25, 2023 at the Laura Pels Theater in the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre (111 West 46th Street). Vatican Falls, written by Frank J Avella, is a controversial play that closely examines the Catholic sex abuse scandal while telling real survivor stories, exploring the fictional journey of one particular survivor and features James Garcia, Ace Young, Carlotta Brentan, Alice Barrett-Mitchell, Danny Hilt, Kenon Veno, Edward L. Simon, Ryan Wright, Jacopo Constantini. Play On Shakespeare, the not-for-profit organization dedicated to exploring the world of Shakespeare in performance through translation and adaptation, today announces their Fall 2022, Winter 2023 & Spring 2023 Seasons.

Building upon Play On Shakespeare’s mission to enhance the understanding of Shakespeare’s plays in performance, Play On Podcasts bring timeless tales directly to modern audiences. The series – presented by Next Chapter Podcasts in partnership with Play On Shakespeare – has released Macbeth, Pericles, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Coriolanus, King Lear, Twelfth Night and Henry V over the last year and a half. On October 14, Play On Podcasts will release Measure for Measure (translation by Aditi Brennan Kapil; direction by Jessie Austrian) featuring New York’s award-winning Fiasco Theatre ensemble.
