A Beautiful Noise – Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade; Into The Woods – Rush Tickets; Camelot at Lincoln Center; Anthony Rapp

New York City Center Encores! production of James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim’s revival of Into the Woods will now offer general rush tickets for every performance at $59 per ticket. As previously announced, Into the Woods has extended for the final time, by popular demand, through January 8, 2023. The general rush policy offers a very limited number of tickets available – they will be first come, first served and can only be purchased in-person at the box office beginning at 10:00 AM ET the day of the performance. There is a two ticket limit per audience member. Tickets will be $59 each. 

The company for Into the Woods includes Patina Miller and Montego Glover sharing the role of The Witch, Stephanie J. Block as the Baker’s Wife, Brian d’Arcy James as the Baker, Krysta Rodriguez as Cinderella (Denée Benton joins beginning on November 21), Gavin Creel as the Wolf/Cinderella’s Prince, Andy Karl as Rapunzel’s Prince (Joshua Henry joins beginning on November 24), Katy Geraghty as Little Red Ridinghood, Jim Stanek as the Steward, Ann Harada as Jack’s Mother, Cole Thompson as Jack, and Alysia Velez as Rapunzel. Patina Miller will be The Witch for performances on Fridays through Sundays, and Montego Glover will take over the role Tuesdays through Thursdays. A Beautiful Noise, The Neil Diamond Musical will perform as part of NBC’s broadcast of the 96th Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on Thursday, November 24. The broadcast will air nationwide on NBC and stream on Peacock from 9 AM – 12 PM in all time zones. The cast of A Beautiful Noise is led by Tony Award® nominee Will Swenson as Neil Diamond – ThenMark Jacoby as Neil Diamond – NowRobyn Hurder as Marcia, and Linda Powell as Doctor. Anthony Rapp’s WITHOUT YOU at New World Stages, beginning January 14, 2023. His acclaimed one-man musical has been adapted for the stage and based on his New York Times Best Selling Book of the same name. The production will feature the music of Jonathan Larson’s RENT along with original songs and compositions by Anthony Rapp, David Matos, and Joe Pisapia; orchestration, original compositions, and musical direction by Daniel A. Weiss, with additional arrangements by Tom Kitt. The show will be directed by Steven Maler. Opening night will be Wednesday, January 25, 2023, 27 years to the day that RENT had its first public performance at New York Theatre Workshop, and will end its limited run on April 30, 2022. 

CAMELOT is a fresh take on the classic tale with a book by Aaron Sorkin, based on the original by Alan Jay Lerner, with the warm support of the Lerner & Loewe estates. The production is played by a 30-piece orchestra using original orchestrations. Leading the cast of 27 are three extraordinary actors: Andrew Burnap, Phillipa Soo, Jordan Donica, directed by Bartlett Sher.
