Midnight Theatricals announced previews of Scarlett Dreams beginning Saturday, April 6 at 8:00 pm, for the world premiere of a new play written and directed by S. Asher Gelman (Afterglow, safeword). Opening night is set for Monday, April 15, 2024, at Greenwich House Theater (27 Barrow St.). The cast features Brittany Bellizeare (FLEX) as Liza, Andrew Keenan-Bolger (NewsiesTuck Everlasting) as Kevin, Caroline Lellouche (Annie) as Scarlett and Borris Anthony York (Pippin) as Milo. Two distinguished actors, Emmy-nominee (SuccessionJ. Smith-Cameron and Emmy Award-winner (ScandalJoe Morton will co-narrate MasterVoices’ revised concert version of The Grapes of Wrath, the 2007 “great American opera” (Musical America) by composer Ricky Ian Gordon and librettist Michael Korie based on John Steinbeck’s landmark novel, on April 17 at Carnegie Hall. Tickets: www.carnegiehall.org      Details: www.mastervoices.org

Transport Group has announced performers for its 2024 gala will include Tony Award winners Freestyle Love Supreme, Marissa Jaret Winokur, and John Lloyd Young.  The star-studded benefit will also feature performers Laura Bell Bundy, Kerry Butler, Skye Alyssa Friedman, Danyel Fulton, Miguel Gil, Mandy Gonzalez, Darron Hayes, Anika Larsen, Betsy Morgan, Sabrina Shah, Barbara Walsh, and Eleri Ward. The evening will be hosted by Tony Award nominee John Cariani. The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts at Lincoln Center highlights the theater photography of Joan Marcus and Carol Rosegg in a new exhibition, opening May 1 through September 28, 2024.The show, entitled Photo Call: The Theater Photos of Joan Marcus and Carol Rosegg, features photography from the archives of the two prolific photographers that are part of the Billy Rose Theatre Division at the Library for the Performing Arts. Curated by Doug Reside, the Lewis and Dorothy Cullman Curator of the Billy Rose Theatre Division, in collaboration with the photographers themselves, the exhibition presents an extensive selection of the many theater productions Marcus and Rosegg have photographed over the past four decades, and tells some of their fascinating and unique stories of their experiences capturing some of Broadway’s most iconic images.


GO PUBLIC! begins on May 3 with SHAKESPEARE @ HOME expanding free access to live recordings of four previous Free Shakespeare in the Park productions, continues on tour with Mobile Unit’s THE COMEDY OF ERRORS, a bilingual musical adaptation from May 28 through June 30, and finishes with MOVIE IN THE PARKS screening 2019’s MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING across all five boroughs starting June 29 through September 6.
