A different kind of Tony Award Nominations will be announced this year. I’m sure we’re all anxious to find out which of the shows actually made it to the finish line. So many were shut down midstream, many never opened because of Covid-19. . . so many would have been contenders but have been left in the wings. Tony Award Productions will announce the nominations for American Theatre Wing’s 74th Annual Tony Awards® on Thursday, October 15th. The Tony Awards Nominating Committee will meet to vote on this year’s nominations on Tuesday, October 13th. The nominations announcement will be hosted by Tony Award-winning actor James Monroe Iglehart on the official Tony Awards YouTube Channel www.youtube.com/tonyawards at 12:00 noon ET. The Tony Awards are presented by The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing.
