Syncing Ink opens at The Apollo Stages at the Victoria (which will mark one of the new venue’s first major theater production). Previews begin May 7 with Opening Night on May 19th and runs through July 28th. Created by playwright NSangou Njikam, Syncing Ink celebrates hip hop culture and seamlessly integrates hip hop with traditional African culture specifically rooted in Yoruba traditions. After premiering in NYC seven years ago, the show returns with its original cast, including two-time Tony nominee Kara Young – fresh off her buzzworthy run in Broadway’s much acclaimed Purlie Victorious. Out of the Box Theatrics is pleased to announce A Night with An Indigo Girl, a one-night-only, pre-Pride benefit performance, featuring Emily Saliers of The Indigo Girls, Tony nominees Beth Malone and Elizabeth Stanley, and Drama Desk nominee Claybourne Elder.
