THE CHINESE LADY will perform at The Public Theater February 23 – March 27, 2022. The play by Lloyd Suh is co-produced by The Barrington Stage Company and Ma-Yi Theater Company and directed by Ralph B. Peña. CO/LAB Theater Group announced the digital premiere of the original show, Together Again, that will take place on Friday, January 28 at 7 PM ET. Tickets are priced at $15 and are available now at https://www.colabtheatergroup.com/together-again Together Again, filmed in December 2021, is CO/LAB’s newest original show that celebrates the togetherness, creativity, laughter, and delight that comes from spending time with each other. The show features scenes created and performed by CO/LAB’s Physical Theater, Musical Theater Ensemble, Youth Ensemble, and Ensemble Theater classes, and songs by composers Michael FinkeBen Freeman, and Orlando Morales. The show was filmed and edited by Luke Ohlson/7Cinema, a film company that creates visual content to amplify the work of advocacy and arts organizations.

After the digital premiere on January 28, the performance will be available to stream at any time from January 29-February 6. All proceeds will benefit CO/LAB’s mission to offer individuals with developmental disabilities a creative and social outlet through theater arts.



NYU Skirball announced changes to its 2022 winter season due to concerns over COVID-19 surges. The Center’s opening production of Elevator Repair Service’s Seagull, which was scheduled to begin February 2, has been postponed and will now play July 7 – 31. Classic Theatre of Harlem’s Seize The King, scheduled to begin performances on March 3, has been cancelled due to a company scheduling conflict, and will not be rescheduled. The rest of the seasonwill continue as previously announced.

The season will now open with I Agree To The Terms, a world premiere from the OBIE-winning The Builders Association, running March 25- April 3,  followed by performances by acclaimed flamenco vocalist Miguel Poveda, April 7 and 8; a NY premiere by MacArthur “Genius” Fellow Eiko Otake, April 14 – 17; a world premiere from David Dorfman Dance, April 22 and 23; and a NY premiere from Pulitzer Prize-winner Du Yun with International Contemporary Ensemble, April 27 and 30. Sometime Child: a Reclamation and a Redemption by Richard Bruce is a tale of a unique relationship between a successful divorce lawyer and two young, troubled but gifted “at risk” youths who have mugged him.  Theater for the New City, 155 First Ave., will present the play’s world premiere February 10 to 27, directed by Erik Oleson. www.theaterforthenewcity.net
