The winners of the 2023 Off Broadway Awards have been announced! These awards recognize the best in commercial and non-profit Off-Broadway theatre across the 2022-2023 season. Winners will be celebrated at a June 20 ceremony at Sardi’s.

As previously announced, the 2023 Off Broadway Alliance Awards will also present non-competitive honors to actor Alison Fraser, Theater Breaking Through Barriers Artistic Director Nicholas Viselli, and publicist David Rothenberg, each receiving the Alliance’s Legend of Off Broadway Award. Primary Stages Artistic Director Andrew Leynse, playwright Robert Patrick, and press agent Susan L. Schulman will be inducted into the Off Broadway Hall of Fame, while director-choreographer and Open Jar Studios owner Jeff Whiting is receiving the Friend of Off Broadway Award.
