Rumor has it that famed Ellen’s Stardust Diner and its counterpart, The Iridium Jazz Club (located in the basement), may be closed for good based upon rent monies owed in the sum of over $600,000 that go unpaid. If the rents are not received by August 7, the landlord will assume possession of the premises. Nothing is official as yet.

The Diner was a famous part of New York City sought out by tourists from all over the world and New Yorkers alike, and sporting singing waiters and waitresses, stars on the rise since 1987.
