Houses on the Moon Theater Company (Emily Joy Weiner, Artistic Director; Kevin Connor, Managing Director) to present the world premiere of Emily Joy Weiner’s SHARED SENTENCES directed by Lisa Rothe with additional material by Barbara Allan, Kevin Barron, Zudaydah Rivera, and Tanasha Gordon.  SHARED SENTENCES explores the toll of incarceration on families and loved ones.

The Actors Studio celebrates 75 years as the world’s most celebrated and influential membership association for professional actors, theatre directors and playwrights. In celebration of the milestone, The Actors Studio will host a 75th Anniversary benefit screening of the Academy Award-winning film Dog Day Afternoon, followed by a live interview with the film’s star and The Actors Studio co-president Al Pacino. Producers Ken Davenport and Primary Wave Music announced today the development of The Ten, a new musical project inspired by the power and spiritual energy of gospel, featuring music that also draws from hip-hop, bluegrass, R&B, soul, and the blues. The new musical will feature music and lyrics by the Grammy Award® nominated team Future Cut (Tunde Babalola and Darren Lewis),and Emily Phillips, book by Nambi E. Kelley, and will be directed by Tony Award® winner Ruben Santiago-HudsonSandi Moran will also serve as producer on The Ten. A reading is being planned for early 2023.
